    Awesome Brace

Posted by Kirstin Sharp on 26/02/2014

I ordered this brace on my doctors recommendation, I suffer from recurrent patella dislocations and recurrent tibial/femoral dislocations. I needed a brace that allowed me to move but supported the joints, the hinged brace I originally had didn't support the patella so it kept slipping out. This brace is an absolute gem, it provides support where I need it, flexibility to the degree I need and also provides drug free pain relief. I highly recommend this to anyone who needs a fully supported brace, this does it all!!

    Doesn't get any better

Hi. Just wanted to say thanks for sending the brace. Order recieved literally two days after ordering. And everyone loves free shipping! :)

This is possibly the best brace I have ever worn. I kind of feel like the Terminator because I feel secure. I literally have no worries about my knee when I'm wearing this because it's like an exo-skeleton!!

I have a pretty messed up knee and it's so good to be able to wear a brace that makes me feel stable, secure and gives me confidence when I'm doing physical activity.

This is Hilary and today she is going to show us the DeRoyal Warrior Knee Brace. This is a high end, top of the line knee brace. It's used for post-surgery or throughout post-op rehabilitation.

The first thing we want to do is measure our leg to make sure we get the right size knee brace. We take a tape measure, and from the middle of the patella we measure 6 inches or 15 centimetres up our leg. At that point, we measure around our leg to get the appropriate circumference. There's a sizing chart on the Internet so you can translate your centimetre measurement into whatever measurement you are for your knee brace.

Now Hilary is going to show us how to put the knee brace on. As she's holding it there sideways, you can see there are sturdy plastic clips and Velcro style material that makes putting the knee brace on as easy as possible. Hilary is going to go ahead and put the knee brace on to show us how it's done. She's got her fingers in some tabs on the top there that makes pulling the knee brace up the leg really easy.

The knee brace is made of a material called Tri-tex. Tri-tex is a little bit like neoprene but it's designed to wick the moisture away to keep the knee as dry as possible. On the inside is a really comfortable felt like material that really makes wearing the knee brace quite comfortable. What Hilary needs to do here is to position the knee brace so the hole you can see is right over the middle of her patella.

She can just adjust the Velcro to the appropriate tension all the way up the leg. Obviously you should fit that comfortably and under the guidance of your physician or physiotherapist.

The DeRoyal Warrior Knee Brace also includes extension and flexion control with a hinge in the side of the knee brace. Unlike old-fashioned knee braces and other current models, the DeRoyal Warrior Knee Brace hides the hinge under a little cloth pouch. There are two reasons for that. It not only looks better, but it also protects the hinge and stops little pins and so on flying out.

What you can see there is that Hilary has gone ahead and opened up the hinge. On the inside of the cover there are different colored stops, and basically the colored stops fit into the hinge to provide a different angle of movement and range of motion for the knee. There's also an Allen key included in the lid of the hinge so you can adjust the little screws for different range of motion. We won't go ahead and do that, and you should only do this under the supervision or instruction of your physiotherapist, but you can see there how easy it is to adjust the knee brace for what you require.

It just clips closed and the little piece of cloth comes up over the side of the knee brace. Now don't forget that's obviously appropriate for both sides of the knee, and the DeRoyal Warrior Knee Brace does have that hinge on the inside and outside of the knee.

So there you go. That is the DeRoyal Warrior Knee Brace. It's available, it's in stock, and it's ready to ship.
